Why not come and join us for one of our Easy Back 2 Basics Guided rides to celebrate this years Mental Health Week.
You could pick up some tips & new skills while meeting a friendly bunch of like-minded people.
Our ride will start at Cockermouth High School where there is limited parking during term time.
All new comers are very welcome, this also includes e-bike riders with a fully charged battery.

This beginner's ride is for people interested in doing more leisure cycling & is led by an experienced British Cycling trained coach, so if you have any questions or concerns about attending, need any advice or just some help starting or getting back into that saddle for this ride just message the Lead rider on the riders' tab below.

We will be travelling along quite country back roads and cycle ways out from Cockermouth so be prepared for some managed uphill climbs. But as part of a Back 2 Basics Guided ride we are always "willing to wait" if you felt daunted by that hill and needed to walk up instead :)

On the up side we always include an outdoor socially distanced drinks & snack break with a great view.

We travel at the slowest rider's speed with support and encouragement, so no one is ever left behind. This is to enhances your enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of our group.

Please bring with you a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to remove layers work the best, a waterproof jacket, (as you never know), a drink for along the way & a snack for our "alfresco" stop if needed.

Please do not attend the ride if you have Covid symptoms, have someone in your household who does or if you have tested positive on a recent Covid test. Cancelling your place won't be a problem just let us know on the website before the ride so we are not waiting unnecessarily for you, especially if it's raining.
All participants on a British cycling ride are now required to provide all their own cycling repair equipment to comply with self-sufficiency rules.
So you will need to make sure you are as self-sufficient as possible on the ride, to avoid sharing tools if any repairs are needed to your bike while on the move.
You will need to bring with you & carry your own repair kit containing these spares as well as know how to use them. A spare complete inner tube that fits your bike, a set of tyre levers and a hand pump are the minimum required.

We ride in a small group of 6 or fewer people & maintain a socially distanced two metres apart when we stop for our designated drink or snack breaks.
Any questions or concerns about attending just give the ride Leader a quick message on the rider's tab below
