This circular ride will give a challenge, for cyclists ready to take on a few hills in the company of other riders. Beginning at the Active Dacorum Hub car park and riding for approx' 7 miles. Taking mainly a road route down into the valley of Hemel Hempstead and through the park to find the beautiful spire of St Mary’s church,. Weather permitting we will enjoy a coffee/drink in the park before returning back up the country lanes. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind, so that all of the group can have an enjoyable ride. We will be riding at the pace of the slowest rider approx. 7-9 mph, maybe a little slower uphill, where walking is always an option.
If you have any questions please message Kathy on 07547914328

Please remember to bring,

A water bottle with a drink in, riding can be very thirsty work.
Cycle helmet, for your own safety.
Appropriate clothing for the weather
As we will be riding on the road please consider adding lights to your bike and wearing high vis clothing to assist other road users to see you.
Money for your cake and drink.

In view of COVID-19 we will be taking this into account with our ride leading and we will follow govt. guidelines. Please note the following:
• We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump, sun cream and hand sanitiser.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides. We will do a bike check before leaving but will check our own bikes.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding at least 1m apart.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms and should be isolating
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
• Anyone who develops COVID symptoms after a ride must contact the leader who will inform British Cycling HQ who will then contact everyone who attended the ride.
Do not attend this ride if you have returned from (anywhere) abroad in the last 2 weeks.
All of the above is to keep us all safe from the virus.
You can contact the leader directly on 07547914328 or via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting on let’s ride unless you have their direct contact details already.

First-timers welcome!

This ride would suit newer riders, who would like the experience of descend/ascending slightly more challenging hills.

We will be riding on mainly quiet road and some shared cycle paths.

During our ride we will be stopping at a local garden center for coffee/cake and a chat about future rides that you might like to undertake.

We never leave anyone behind
