Easy 16 mile route going through some Suffolk villages, the terrain is fairly flat and the roads are well maintained, a few undulations to get to Risby but and easy ride home
We are planning to s top at the Crown and Castle public house in Risby ( maybe even peruse the antique shops next door ) The Crown & Castle in Risby has a history stretching back to the 18th century, with its origins as a coaching inn. It was located on the main Bury-Newmarket road but was bypassed with the construction of the A14. The pub has undergone renovations and extensions over the years, including a recent discovery of a 120-foot deep well. The building is attractive, flint-faced, and features distinct bar areas. The Crown & Castle is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, offering a range of food and drinks in a welcoming atmosphere.
Helmets are essential. it is also advisable as summer is here that your bring water, suncream and sunglasses .
