First we encounter a little climb up to the Innocent Railway Tunnel, and then it is an easy ride to the Duddingston Loch. We will return via Duddingston Low Road and Queen's Drive back to Holyrood park.

We are cycling in celebration of the UCI World Championships and to coincide with the Men’s Elite Road Race on Aug 6th. The ride is an easy-going route from Holyrood Park, where the Edinburgh Road Club is running an ‘Experience the World’ event between 9:30 am and 1:30pm in Holyrood Park. This includes various skill challenges and races for kids The ride is led by a qualified Breeze Champion. Breeze is the Scottish and British Cycling programme supporting more women to discover the joy of cycling.

We will be mostly cycling on traffic free cycle ways and the road at Arthurs’ Seat will be closed for cars during the day.

We will have a stop at Dr Neil's Garden, where we can buy coffee/tea at the little cafe or bring our own flask. The garden invites us for a short exploration.

Helmets are advisable . Appropriate clothing for the Scottish weather. Please bring a drink and a snack if you need it.

We never leave anyone behind
