Our 8 mile route will keep to traffic-free cycleways and quiet link roads. It is a good introduction to Cycling UK Stevenage group rides and also a way to explore the Stevenage cycleway network to find useful routes for everyday utility cycling as well as leisure rides.

There is no planned stop but the nearby Costello's cafe at Fairlands park is open after the ride for hot drinks and food.

Children who are confident riding this distance are welcome but must remain under the close supervision of a parent or carer throughout the ride. (They should be booked on as additional riders)

We organise free rides for Cycling UK members. If you are not a Cycling UK member you are welcome to join us for up to 3 rides. After 3 rides you will need to join Cycling UK if you would like to continue to join our led rides, more details about membership at www.cyclinguk.org/join-today

Any legal road-worthy bike is suitable for this ride.

An easy-going 8 mile ride - beginners and returning riders are very welcome.

The route will be mostly traffic-free making the most of the Stevenage cycleway network.
