This is a ride to visit the Lullingstone World Garden. There is a hardy orchid meadow that has recently been planted there and these orchids should be in full bloom when we visit. There is also an orchid house which we can see. We start the ride by cycling out to Ladywell and through Greenwich Park and past Blackheath to Well Hall Pleasaunce and on to Eltham Park North. We then pass Falconwood and continue to Danson Park, Hall Place and then Bexley. We take a short cut past the Faesten Dic in Joyden's Wood (we will take a well paved high ground route which avoids the muddy paths which have been churned up by horses) and then continue to Eynsford, Lullingstone Roman Villa and Lullingstone Castle. We will stop off for an of hour of so for lunch at the Lullingsone Country Park and to visit the Lullingstone World Garden. If you wish to visit the Lullingstone World Garden, it costs £9 (£7.50 for concessions). We then cycle back, taking a path through the country park and across the M25 to return to Cutty Sark Gardens.
