A lovely scenic ride incorporating parts of the John Muir Way through the Dalmeny Estate, South Queensferry and Hopetoun House, returning through Newton Village, Duntarvie and the Dundas Estate.
The route is mostly on quiet roads and cycle paths with a couple of short sections on busier roads. Varied terrain includes tarmac, cobblestones, hard-packed gravel and woodland paths.
This is an undulating route with some hills, approximately 1000' of climbing in total but in fairly short sections.

We'll stop periodically to enjoy the views, take photos etc and have a planned refreshment stop at approximately half way

Helmets are recommended. Please carry water and snacks to keep you going, money for the cafe if you want to purchase any refreshments. Ideally bring a spare inner tube (or two) for you own bike and any necessary tools in case of a mechanical and/or have a strategy for getting home in case you can't continue the ride for any reason (eg friend/taxi/rescue insurance)

We never leave anyone behind
