LN4 2RN

From the International Bomber Command Centre we will initially head east joining the Waterway to Bardney before turning north with planned stop at Wickenby Aerodrome. We then continue north before reaching the top of the Lincolnshire Cliff at Kirton in Lindsey where we will stop for lunch. The final stretch takes us south along the cliff with a final refreshment stop at The Dambusters Inn in Scampton (who will be hosting a beer festival) before returning through Lincoln past the Cathedral that was a welcome landmark to crews returning from missions.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

This route travels through many aspects of Lincolnshire's aviation heritage spanning the First, Second, and Cold Wars.

Most of the route is on relatively quiet country lanes, there is a section of cycleway near the beginning of the ride, whilst the end of the ride is through the centre of Lincoln.

We are planning three stops along the route.
