Deer Sanctuary ride

Starting from the central carpark in Burley behind the Queen's hHead pub, we will ride out along Chapel Lane for about a mile. Then we will turn in at Wood's corner and ride up to the Deer Sanctuary. It is uphill but don't worry, we will regroup as necessary. Once at the top, we will go and see the deer, use the loos etc before riding back down on a different track and back to Burley for a cuppa.

A steady ride through the forest to the Deer Sanctuary

Riding mostly on forest trails with two short sections on a quiet, B road.

There is a carpark, toilets and sometimes an ice cream van at the halfway point. We can stop if needed.

Your bike must be roadworthy, a helmet is compulsory. Bring some money for the carpark and refreshments, a light jacket and a smile!
