Starting point

Greater Manchester
M14 6LA

The route takes us from one of Manchester's premier parks along the Fallowfield Loop through Chorlton to the River Mersey to the grade 2 listed Wythenshawe Hall and the statue of Oliver Cromwell. We then head back to the Mersey and head upstream to the Pyramid in Stockport, the route then takes us through three of the four Heatons. Following the edge of Highfield Country Park we arrive back at the Loop which we follow downhill back to our starting point at Platt Fields.

Route rating

5 stars (2) Reviews

This is a pleasant exploration of south Manchester, riding through some fantastic parks and along the banks of the River Mersey

This route is based on traffic free cycle paths, quiet lanes and national cycle routes

We will stop for refreshments at Fletcher Moss Park. A lock and money are advisable.

Please ensure you have a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump. I recommend the wearing of a Helmet

We never leave anyone behind
