Dursley Breeze Final Fling Wednesday Workout to Brookthorpe

This is a lumpy outward route, hugging the edge of the Cotswold escarpment towards Gloucester. We then descend onto the Severn Plain for a brief respite beside the river, before heading back towards the Cotswolds with a few smaller climbs and a selection of motorway and rail bridges to keep our legs warm.

Helmets are recommended. In line with current Covid-19 advice, please do not attend if you or anyone in your household has experienced any symptoms within the last 14 days.

A nice loop on lumpy country lanes for coffee and cake.

We’ll mostly be riding on quiet lanes but there are several busier sections, as well as several short climbs and descents, so this ride is not suitable for beginners.

We'll be stopping at the halfway point to refuel. Toilets are available at the coffee stop.

Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for your bike or a puncture repair kit, and tools. You'll also need money for refreshments and a mask. You may consider bringing your own hand sanitiser.
