Starting point

London
W5 3JG

This is a fairly quiet loop from Ealing Common to Richmond Park and back. It is 18 miles/29 km and there is one short climb up Richmond Hill. A steady pace including stops means this ride should be less than 3 hours.

We will begin at the posted time with a short briefing and set off soon after. In fairness to all riders, I regret we may not be able to wait for late arrivals, so please give yourselves enough time to get to the start. If you have any questions before registering, please feel free to drop me a line via the 'Message Ride Creator' button above.

On the way out we head to Brentford and through Syon Park, passing by Syon House towards Isleworth. In Isleworth we join the Thames path towards and then over Richmond Bridge then a short climb up Richmond Hill, there is a great view at the top! We then enter Richmond Park and go round an inner lap exiting at Roehampton Gate and then heading towards Barnes Common. Once we get to Vine Road Recreation Ground there will be an opportunity to stop at the café. From here we head towards Mortlake Green and rejoin the Thames and cross again over Chiswick Bridge. Once back on the north side we will cycle towards Barnes Bridge, then follow the railway path back towards Kew Bridge where we will close the loop and head back up to Ealing Common.

All participants are expected to bring:
• A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure.
• A cycle helmet
• Carry at least a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers.
• Dress for the weather on the day.
• A drink and consider bringing food or a snack to insure you are correctly fuelled to ride.
• Money/bank card if you wish to purchase food and drink at stops.
• Lights if there is any chance of poor visibility.
