Easy Breeze to Wellington Farm shop from FBC

An easy on-road route to the Wellington Farm shop, avoiding the narrow off-road paths and tracks through the forest. We will start on the greenway to California Country park, then ride on roads and some pretty country lanes via Farley Hill and Swallowfield to Riseley. Our coffee stop after 8 miles is at the Wellington Farm shop, where the cafe has a great selection of cakes. We will then return on some different lanes, passing Henry Street Garden centre, to Arborfield and finally back on cycleways to Finchampstead. We won't go too fast so anyone is welcome, even if you haven't cycled much lately.

All the route is on paved cycleways or roads, so any type of bike is suitable. Please check your bike before you come out - especially air in your tyres, both brakes working and chain oiled. You should please bring a spare inner tube suitable for your wheel size and a bike lock if you have one.

You must please wear a cycle helmet and clothing suitable for the weather. Also bring with you: a bottle of water and card or cash for payment at the cafe.
