Easy Breezy Bury Bimble for all abilities

This route starts at the Castle Leisure Centre in Bury and follows firstly the river and then the Kirklees Trail, a disused railway line, to Greenmount before returning. There is a short quiet road section near the Police and Fire stations.

Blow the dust off your bike and come out for an easy leisurely nearly traffic free ride along a great local route. Starting at the Bury Leisure Centre car park and we will head out of Bury towards Greenmount, along the traffic free routes and onto the Kirkless Trail. We'll stop at the top for cuppa/cake at one of the local cafes.

A mix of very low traffic roads and traffic free route. Depending upon weather there may be some puddles. There is one short steep climb, but we can get off and push that one!

The pace for this ride is easy and we'll stop to admire the views, eat snacks and chat at every possible instance!

You'll need to bring your own bike - make sure the tyres are pumped up and you're happy sitting on it. Helmets are required for all particpants. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Some layers that you can take off/pull on are a good idea. Waterproofs may be necessary - please check the weather. Gloves to prevent cold fingers are a good idea.
