Please join us for a bike ride combined with a garden visit and cream tea.

This is a circular ‘steady’ but relaxed bike ride along cycle paths and quiet country roads with a visit to a beautiful NGS garden (Merdon Manor) with home-made teas.

Admission to garden is £4 plus the price of refreshments.

Meet at Valley Park Community Centre Car Park (1, Pilgrim’s Close, Chandlers Ford, SO53 4ST) at 1pm. The cycling distance is 16 miles (approx. 2 ¼ hours cycling time). Probable finish time is 5.15pm back at Valley Park but depends on how much time people want to spend at the gardens - and the weather!

We will set off from Valley Park via cycle paths and quiet roads to Hursley and then on a brief stretch of the A3090 before turning up Merdon Castle Road to Merdon Manor, the NGS garden. After spending time at the garden and enjoying refreshments, we free-wheel down the hill to Braishfield, and then back via North Baddesley and cycle paths.

The ride is for those with some cycling experience but we always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so you can always get off and push if you need to – no-one is ever left behind. There will be several Breeze leaders on this ride to stay with you and support your cycling.

Bring a bike lock, a spare inner tube, a puncture repair kit and a pump – just in case.
Plus – plenty of water. Please wear a helmet.

Please contact me with any questions.
