Eccleshill Swimming Pool

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. This hilly, 22 mile ride loops its way through and around Bradford in a whistle stop tour of the city and its surrounding countryside. Starting in Eccleshill, to the north east of the city, the route heads north to Yeadon before turning south past Esholt, home for many years to ITV's soap opera Emmerdale Farm. The route then turns urban again, heading south through Shipley and into Bradford city centre turning onto Leeds Road, home to some of the fieriest curry houses in the UK. You'll then follow a route through Calverley back to the start and finish point at Eccleshill.
