Evening ride around Cwmcarn Scenic Drive

We will meet at the canal entrance on Ruskin Ave as 14 locks carpark is shut in the evening.
Please arrive at 6.15 to start at 6.30.
You can park considerately on local roads, for example the Squires gate estate opposite.
We will follow the canal up to Cwmcarn forest drive, then follow the drive around up to the top!
This is a beautiful if challenging, hilly route but the views are worth it!

The route is on the canal path and on closed roads on the forest drive itself. There is a short on road section open to cars as we ride up to the visitor centre from the entrance.
We will stop briefly at the top for photos and a quick snack.
Please wear a helmet, bring water and a snack,as there is no cafe stop on this route, a spare inner tube for your bike and the means to change it in case of a puncture. Please also bring lights, we should be back before it gets dark but just in case of delays.
