Starting point

Powys Radnorshire

We leave Hay and head towards Bredwardine, crossing the ancient bridge that spans the River Wye. After a short stretch of busy main road, we turn right and continue our cycle along quiet lanes leading to Letton. Here we have another short section of main road before we return to the tranquility of more country lanes leading to Almeley and maybe a chance to refresh in the quaint village Inn.

We continue our route back to Hay, via Eardisley and Whitney on Wye. We cross the old toll bridge (no charge for cyclists) and peddle back to Hay passing through Clifford on the way.

If you are free and fancy getting out on your bike for some fresh air, fun and non-competitive exercise, join us on a fabulous bicycle ride starting and finishing in Hay on Wye (Max. 8 participants). It will be a circular route, using mainly quiet country lanes. This ride will be led at a relaxed, social pace, with no one being left behind. Ideal for those with some cycling fitness who want to ride in a friendly group and build up their confidence. All adult women are welcome.

Mainly quiet country lanes, gently undulating.

Plenty of opportunity to stop on-route to catch your breath and have a drink and enjoy the views. If time allows, we may stop at one of the fine country pubs on route.

Please bring a well-maintained bicycle, wear a helmet, gloves and appropriate clothing for the weather. Remember to carry a drink, snack, a spare tube, puncture repair kit, lock and pump if you have them and bring some money for refreshments. At this time of year, it’s essential to have a good set of lights, for both the front and back of your bike.

We’re friendly, we love cycling, laughing, we don’t take things too seriously and we never leave anyone behind.
