Starting point

South Yorkshire
S6 4TE

This ride sets off from the usual spot at the start of Loxley Road and heads out through Low Bradfield and up Blindside Lane and Sugworth Road to the A57. From there we drop down to Ladybower where we turn left and continue through Bamford and onwards to Hathersage where we turn right. After a short while we take a right turn onto a lovely little lane that climbs up steeply at first and then more steadily up through Abney and past the gliding club, enjoying magnificent views along the way. A pleasant descent then takes us down to Grindlow, where we turn left and continue through Foolow to Eyam. After a cafe stop we'll then continue along New Road and turn right onto the main road. After a short distance a left turn takes us down a pretty lane to a lovely little hump-back bridge and we then continue up the long steady climb of Froggatt before returning to the start via Ringinglow and Lodge Moor.
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms (new, persistent cough; fever; loss of sense of smell or taste) or if any of your household has symptoms or is isolating. Maintain social distance throughout the ride, including at the start/finish and the café stop. Bring a facemask for use at the café stop.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). It is also a good idea to carry a spare chain link that matches your bike’s chain (e.g. 9, 10 or 11 speed). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
