Family Cycling Festival to St Mellons

We will meet at the Newport Family Cycling Festival site at Tredegar House ready to complete some basic bike checks and begin the cycle ride at 2pm.
From Tredegar House the ride follows route 88 along the Gwent Levels to St Melons where we will call in at the Wye Vale Garden centre for a sociable refreshment break.
The return journey will bring us back to the Tredegar House Orangery where there will be a celebration and refreshments to mark the end of the 2017 Family Cycling Festival.
Please bring your bike and helmet, the means to remedy a puncture should it occur and suitable clothing for the activity and the weather.

Please bring a bike lock.

For all rides please ensure that your brakes are functional and that your wheels are turning freely, tyres should be firm enough that you can't dimple them with your thumb and your chain should be oiled.
