FBC to West Green Gardens via Winchfield

A lovely time of year to visit any garden, but hoping that the “River of Iris” are looking good at West Green Gardens on our trip today. (Free entry for NT, & RHS card holders, or use 2for1 GW cards.) Starting at FBC, we’ll head to Eversley down Fleet Hill, then on Plough Lane, Bramshill towards Hartley Wintney. Taking the pretty lane around the back of West Green, a 5 mile loop on lovely quiet lanes to Winchfield with a short section of cyclepath back into Hartley Wintney. Garden opens at 11, so after 18 miles it will be open and we can enjoy sitting outside for coffee/cake. Then maybe 45 mins looking around the garden, aiming to leave by 1pm latest for the remaining 7 miles back using Plough Lane and this time through Bramshill tracks to Eversley Ford.

Cycle helmets are compulsory. Please check your bike the night before, chain oiled, tyres fully inflated (makes it easier!), and always carry a spare inner tube suitable for your tyre size. And preferable two! And a pump which you know fits your valve.
