This ride is mostly cycle paths. We will leave Rutland Cycles and take cycle paths to Orton Centre. From there we cycle through Alwalton Hill to the Haddon Road. The cycle route through Alwalton Hill is a temporary gravel path. From here we go a few yards along old A1 and turn left on to Green Wheel for 3 miles. The route is open countryside and the the path takes us near some lakes. We end up in Hampton Vale. We wind our way through Hampton and around Serpentine Lake to Hampton Hargate. We go over cycle bridge to Orton Longueville and back to Rutland Cycles along cycle paths. This route is 10 miles. There is an extension to this route: At Hampton Vale we can cycle to Crown Lakes and Farcet and Stanground and city centre. We return to Rutland cycles via cycle route along Nene Valley Railway. Route can be agreed on the day by all participants. The extension makes the ride 14 miles.

This is an urban route on cycle paths. All traffic free.
