FLAB social Leicestershire North West- Erewash Valley trail and Shipley park Safari

Starting over the border in Derbyshire for a change we will ride some nice canal paths and gravel surfaced bridleways of the Erewash valley trail. We'll detour into Strelley village in the hopes of spotting the famous Lions that live there before dropping back down onto the Nottingham canal path. Passing the Iron Giant (Bennerley viaduct) where we can stop a photo before carrying on Towards Eastwood. We'll then climb up the never ending gradual climb out of the valley to Shipley where will pass the site odf the American Adventure theme park ( now a housing estate). We'll then ride some of the gravel trails around Shipley park, stopping for a break at one of the cafes here. The return route will see us riding the Nutbrook trail all the way back.
This route is suitable for MTB, Gravel/CX or hybrid bikes with decent tyres.
