A lumpy little ride, mainly on quieter roads but a couple of short, busier sections. Heading out from Elvaston Castle car park we'll go through Aston and Weston, before skirting the southern edge of Derby on our way to the café at Mercia Marina, heading back via Repton and Ingleby and retracing our steps from Swarkestone.

Suitable for any type of bike, though chunky mountain bike tyres will make all those road miles much harder work. Usual FLAB rules apply, pace governed by the riders at the back, we'll regroup after hills and at junctions, no one gets dropped or left behind.

Bring a working bike, a working helmet, a working sense of humour, an inner tube to fit your tyres just in case, and some money for the car park and café stop.
