The Traffic Free Cycle Circuit at Forge Valley Community School Sports Centre is a fantastic way to build confidence and skills on the bike by completing some leisurely laps of the circuit in a safe and supportive environment. This is the perfect opportunity to dust off that old bike or get out on your new pride and joy and experience bike riding surrounded by like-minded cyclists.

This will be the 1st ride in the Ride for Eric series where we aim to support riders who have signed up for the 25km distance sportive. We will focus on riding individually, in pairs & in groups around the track and we will ensure you can use your full range of gears as the sportive includes quite a few hills! This ride will give you the chance to become familiar with a new bike or use clip in pedals for the first time, practice standing out of the saddle and get to know others who may be riding the sportive too.

The ride is open to anyone from the public and those who are doing the Ride for Eric sportive. Just make sure you sign up to book your place. The ride is suitable for children but they must be accompanied by a cycling adult. We have a number of adult and child bikes that can be borrowed free of charge from Forge Valley but please be aware these are drop handlebar race bikes and may not be suitable for beginners. All riders must wear a helmet.

There is plenty of parking on site. Toilet facilities are available and tea / coffee is available from reception in the leisure centre.
