Let's Ride - Friday Afternoon Fun on Your Bike

Starting from - On Hunts Road, Duxford, at the gate by the entrance to the community centre. Please park either on Hunts Road or in St John's Street near to the school. Please remember your cycle helmet, spare inner tube, pump, water to drink on the ride and money for refreshments at the end. Due to Covid precautions please bring your own PPE (mask, sterile gloves and alcohol hand gel – we are unable to share any PPE or cycling equipment with you) in case of an emergency. If you, or any of your household, are feeling unwell in any way, particularly if you have a temperature or cough, please do not attend the ride. Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can do our safety checks and go through the route. It is important that you check that your bike is fully roadworthy, good brakes, gears that work and tyres that are pumped to the correct pressure – thanks, CB22 4RE

We will be mainly on minor roads and country lanes but we do have to cross a couple of busy roads. There will be short stops for water, and any refreshments you are carrying, along the route. The route takes us out from Duxford, then to Newton, through Thriplow and Fowlmere, so a lovely 10-mile flat start before we climb up New Road to Great Chishill, we'll then turn right and left and go along the Royston to Saffron Walden road, climbing up to Chrishall then we have a lovely downhill before whizzing back to Duxford for coffee, cake and a chat.
