Fun at the fete - Sparsholt

We’re looking forward to seeing you next week at the fete ride to Sparsholt on 30/06 – note this is not a beginner’s ride. It is most definitely a steady ride – short at 14 miles, but with some hill climbs. We will do about 10 miles pre-fete and then roll down the hill, stuffed full of ice cream, cake and pimms! You’ll be pleased to know that the hills are all before the ice-cream gorging, pony rides and country dancing take place. As per usual, you will be encouraged to take the hills at your own pace and we have checked out where we can stop mid-hill for rests as required.

If this ride is fully booked it will no longer show on the website. Should something happen that means you need to cancel your place, please log onto the website to see the ride you’ve booked and cancel your place as soon as you know, so that others have the opportunity to join us. Thank you.

Join us on a short-ish, steady ride to sample the delights at Sparsholt Fete. We will enjoy the fete for about an hour and then return via Harestock. Almost the entire route is on quiet roads and country lanes. There are some hills, but we will cycle at a steady pace and no-one will be left behind. You will need to bring £2 for entrance to the fete plus money for refreshments.

A padlock to secure your bike at the fete
