Fundamentals of Mountain Biking Ride - Exploring Lakes and Mines in Gwydir Forest

**** This Breeze bike ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, I also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. ****

This is an off road ride in the forest taking in some steep climbs. Great on E Bikes! if you dont have your own E bike there are E mountain bikes available from Beics Betws free of charge. For those experienced and failry fit cyclists the route is suitable for none E mountain bikes and gravel bikes.
This off road bike ride will start in Betws Y Coed and explore loops Forest tracks in the Gwydir Forest around the LLyn Parc, LLyn Sarnau and LLyn Gerionydd area, never being more than 2.5 kl from a road. There are some very steep hills hence the E bikes. The route is mainly forest track with an optional short section of single track, a few quiet lanes and bridleways. There may be one or two sections which are rocky, muddy or with wet leaves which we may have to walk.

We will visit a cafe for coffee and cake at the end of the ride in Betws Y Coed.

Helmets and gloves must be worn and warm clothing with a waterproof jacket. Glasses are recommended. This ride is suitable for those new to off road riding
