**** This Breeze bike ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, I also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. ****

Louise and Gwenan share the same birthday in July so we though it would be a great idea to organise an evening Fundamentals mountain bike ride around Beddgelert Forest.

This ride will start in the village of Rhydd Ddu where we will ride on the road to Beddgelert famous for Gelerts grave and the Aberglaslyn gorge.
From Beddgelert we will pick up Lon Gwyrfai multi use trail into the forest to the forest car park. This track follows the Welsh Highland railways line. At the car park will follow the Derwen cycle trail which loops around high into the forest on forest tracks. Returning to Lon Gwyrfai we will return via the multi use trail past LLyn y Gader and back to the car park
On return we will enjoy refreshments and birthday cake in the car park or the local pub.

This ride is 70% off road on forest track with some hills. The only short technical section will be walked . On a clear day the scenery is stunning with Snowdon/Yr Wydda and Y Garn in view.

Helmets, gloves and closed toe shoes must be worn. Glasses are advised. . Bring a drink and snack . Please note that there is a very poor phone signal in this area

This ride is suitable for mountain bikes and some gravel bikes including e bikes (there are one or two short sections of very loose stony forest track which some gravel bikes might struggle with) .) Let me know if you don't have a suitable bike and I may be be able to provide one.

Women new to mountain biking and Breeze are particularly welcome

We never leave anyone behind
