We will start our cycle at 11am on cycle path (cp) 14, just off Lindsay Road on Newhaven. At a five way junction we take a right turn (north) and follow cp13 through Trinity towards the Firth of Forth. We'll join the road at places here and then pick up cp12 along Silverknowes Esplanade to Crammond Esplanade. A little more cycling on the road to national cycle route (NCR) 1 for a wee lap around Dalmeny Estate. Then we'll get back on NCR 1 through Barnton and Davidson's Mains and on into Edinburgh. Here we are spoilt for choice if we wish to take in a coffee and cake stop; while we decide if we want to do a lap up and around Holyrood Park...or have another coffee.
For anyone who wants to return to the start point, I will take us back here, otherwise the cycle could well finish by the beach at Portobello :)
