DY8 2AB

We leave Mary Stevens Park and take residential roads to meet Whittington Hall Lane (either along roads or a gravel track). Whittington Hall Lane is undulating and meets the A449, which we cross with care. Take care crossing the Horsebridge, which is both steep and narrow – very low gear needed or walk across. Pleasant winding canal towpath to Kinver and then along town road to café for refreshments.

We retrace along the canal towpath and extend to Caunsall where we leave the canal towpath and, carefully crossing the A449 again, ride along Beech Road, which again in undulating. At the bottom of Beech Road we turn left onto Sugar Loaf Lane – again undulating and a pleasant descent back into residential roads and back to Mary Stevens Park.

This ride is part of Age UK Dudley’s Get Cycling for 50 Plus scheme and riders can make a donation on the day if they wish.

This ride is around 10.25 miles in length and is undulating, mainly on lanes, tracks and canal towpaths in lovely scenery.

Recommend hybrid or mountain bike for this ride.

We shall be stopping for refreshments at one of the cafes in Kinver

Ensure you have a helmet and waterproof. It is also advisable to have some water with you
