Get Cycling MK Guided Ride - NCR6 to Castlethorpe Castle

Note the meet is at the car park close to the viaduct (on the left of Haversham Road) - the post code is firther up in Beech Grove and is a bit misleading.

A new ride for our Guided Rides exploring NCR6 north from the Ouse to to Castlethorpe and back by Cosgrove.

Exploring the North of Milton Keynes the amazing castle at Castlethorpe and Cosgrove. We'll return by the Canal, Aqueduct, and Ouse Valley. This ride is full of interest.

This ride is about 7 miles long, and about 2 miles of it is on quiet country roads. The route between Castlethorpe and Cosgrove is down a valley and up a hill. We'll take this easy as it's quite long.

Along Cycle Routes and quiet local roads this ride is suitable for beginners and older youngsters. There is a section along the canal between Cosgrove and the Iron Trunk aqueduct - although the surface is good and the track wide.The route is mainly flat with a couple gentle of hills. We travel at the speed of the slowest person and never leave anyone behind. We stop occasinally to look at places of local interest. Given fair weather this is a great ride.
