Glasbury and under the Shadow of The Dragon’s Back

From the car park in Glasbury, we head towards Felindre, Talgarth and then climb up towards Pengeffordd, turning to cycle under the shadow of The Dragon’s Back! With the mountain ridge looming above us, we continue through the historical hamlet of Llanelieu, passing the old redundant St. Ellyw’s church.

These lanes are used by farmers and can be muddy, pitted and gravelly. Tackling the ups and downs as we go, we make our way back to Glasbury.

A cycle ride particularly suited to intermediate female cyclists. If you are free and fancy getting out on your bike for some fresh air, fun and non-competitive exercise, join us on a fabulous bicycle ride starting and finishing in Glasbury (Max. 8 participants). This ride will be led at a social pace, with no one being left behind.

Mainly quiet country lanes, with plenty of challenging hills thrown in and oodles of undulations!

Plenty of opportunity to stop on-route to catch your breath, have a drink and enjoy the views. If anyone fancies some more chat whilst enjoying a cool glass of local ale, there are a couple of pubs to choose from at the end of our ride.

Please bring a well-maintained bicycle, wear a helmet, gloves and appropriate clothing for the weather. It is essential at this time of year to have a set of lights, for both the front and rear of your bike, although we do hope to complete the ride in daylight. Remember to carry a drink, a spare tube, puncture repair kit, lock and pump if you have them. A small container of hand sanitizer could be useful.
