Why not practice your map reading skills and join Ribble Valley Juniors for a cycle exploration of the Gregson Lane area. Suitable for all ages, adults and accompanying children will be issued with a map detailing checkpoints around the area. Participants are encouraged to get into groups and then decide which checkpoints they will visit over the ensuing 2 hours, based on the capability of any accompanying children. Where possible, Club Ride Leaders will be assigned to groups to help adult riders with map reading and road junction management.
All checkpoints will be accessible from the road. Groups will record the letter of the alphabet featured at each checkpoint. When groups return to the start point at the end of the 2 hours, groups will be encouraged to work together to try to solve the secret message hidden around the checkpoints.
This is a social ride opportunity. As such LetsRide Terms and Conditions apply – these can be found on the website www.letsride.co.uk
A safety briefing will be given at the start of the activity – please ensure you arrive for the start time stipulated. It is advised that all riders bring a drink, snacks and are dressed suitable for the weather. It is also practical to carry a spare inner tube that fits the wheel size of chosen bicycle, in case of puncture. Children must wear a correctly fitted cycle helmet – adults are encouraged to wear a helmet.
Café Delphine is situated at the start point so that riders can purchase post ride refreshments.
