We head out of Hemel and into the magical Gorhambury Estate, a traffic free paradise. We can stop at the ruins of the old Gorhambury Manor House and admire the current house from a distance.
We'll have coffee in St Albans and head back to Leverstock Green via quiet lanes.
There are a couple of stretches of busy main road that we can't avoid.
Best suited to hybrids or mountain bikes.
