We start by cycling along the Thames Path on the south bank of the Thames to Woolwich, where we turn off to cycle through Plumstead where make use of the newly refurbished Ridgeway cycle path to Crossness. We then cycle through Southmere Park, Erith, Slade Green, Dartford and along a straight section of Watling Street until we cycle down into the clay pit which has been converted into the Bluewater shopping centre. We will stop there for lunch. We then return to Greenwich along the Thames Path. You can leave the ride on the way back at Slade Green Station (within TfL Zone 6) if you want a shorter ride.
