Gregson Lane Gateway to the back lanes of Brindle & Hoghton

This Gregson Lane gathering of cyclists will navigate out of the village, in the direction of Bamber Bridge. Using minor back roads, the group will circumnavigate Walton Summit, Clayton Brook and Whittle le Woods, before joining the lesser known back lanes of Brindle. Summiting the quaint village of Top Oth Lane, riders head off in the direction of Hoghton, where they take in a circuit of lightly trafficked lanes in the area, before heading back to Gregson Lane.

Refreshments can be purchased from the Café Delphine at the end of the ride – bring some money if you would like to join us.

This is a scenic, undulating ride. Riders should expect to take in some short sections of climbing. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and capable of riding the distance. It is suitable for children aged 10 upwards who have experience of riding on road. Please bring drink and snacks for the duration of the ride. Riders should be suitably dressed for the weather conditions and carry a spare inner tube that fits their bike. Riders with pre-existing medical conditions that may require self-medication during the ride, should bring medication with them and are advised to inform the Ride Leader in confidence, if they feel it appropriate.

Limited, free parking at the starting point & Cafe for refreshments at the end of the ride.
