Hackney City Farm

This is a train assisted ride. We will return from Paddington to Ealing Broadway on the Elizabeth Line (approx. 12 mins train journey). If we are running late, we have the option of shortening the ride by taking the train from Farringdon (cycling distance 29.8km/ 18.6 miles; train journey 25 mins). If we are feeling more adventurous, we can cycle all the way back to Ealing (total distance 54.6km/34 miles).

We ride across London, via North Kensington, Kilburn & Maida Vale to Camden, where we will have a brief pause. We go on through Islington and into Hackney, to reach our destination, the peaceful Hackney City Farm https://hackneycityfarm.co.uk/ . We will have the opportunity to wander around the farm, seeing the various animals and learning about the conservation & community projects undertaken there. Admission to the City Farm is free of charge; visitors are encouraged to make a donation.

We will have refreshments in the café next to the farm, or maybe a picnic in neighbouring Haggerston Park if we prefer.

We then ride on through Shoreditch, Clerkenwell, Bloomsbury and Marylebone to make our way to Paddington station for the Elizabeth Line back to Ealing.

Ride across London to visit Hackney City Farm.

Quieter back roads where possible, some stretches on busier roads. Return by train from Paddington.

Visit to Hackney City Farm and refreshments at cafe.

Locks for bike. Money/card for cafe, shop, donation to City Farm.
