Haddenham & Thame Parkway to Chorleywood via the Hale Lane climb

A good level of fitness, road confidence and bike handling are required. This ride is mainly along quiet B roads through pleasant Chilterns countryside, with the odd village and old town en route. We climb gently and cumulatively on and off for 12.5 miles towards the Hale Lane ascent, which peaks at 13% before descending gradually towards Chorleywood. The total ascent is 900ft and descent is 875ft, at a minimum average speed of 12mph.

Please ensure your bike is in good working order, you have spares and kit with you, and are dressed for the ride and the weather (including bicycle helmet). Water and snacks are a good idea, and money for the cafe if you're stopping.
