Starting point

London
HA8 7RG

A longer, more challenging ride from Canons Park to some lovely watery ways and spaces, finishing at the Harrow Cycle Hub for their Open Day afternoon.

We will cycle to the delightful Ebury Way trail via Carpenders Park which will take us to Rickmansworth Aquadrome. We will then ride along the canal to Black Jack's Mill, then on to visit Ruislip Lido before returning to Harrow finishing the ride at Harrow Cycle Hub. Option to attend the Open Day starting at 14.30 - 16.30pm where you can meet friendly, local cyclists passionate about enabling everyone in Harrow to cycle :)

There are two challenging "inclines", the first being Clamp Hill in Stanmore at the beginning of the ride, and a steep path up to Harefield from Black Jack's Mill mid way through. It's perfectly ok to go slow, at your own pace, or walk it!

Mountain bikes, hybrids with off road tyres, gravel / cyclocross bikes are best suited to this. Bridleways and off road tracks may have muddy and uneven surfaces so road / slick tyres are not suitable.

Note I am not a qualified BC Ride Leader so this is a social ride, not a coaching or formally led ride.

In view of COVID-19, please note the following:
• We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump, sun cream and hand sanitiser.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides. We will do a bike check before leaving but will check our own bikes.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms and should be isolating.
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform the group
Do not attend this ride if you have returned from (anywhere) abroad in the last 2 weeks.
All of the above is to keep us all safe from the virus.

Route is a mix of road and off-road with some busy main roads. Please ensure you are experienced in riding on roads with traffic.

We will make stops along the way for coffee/food/toilets - plenty of time to stop, chat, take photos etc.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear a helmet. Bring a drink and a snack, a spare inner tube or two, some cash or a card, and a smile :D

We especially welcome newbies!
