Haugh to Craik and back

This is a there and back route. From Common Haugh Car Park, Hawick cycling through park to Martins Bridge. Turn right onto B711, heading to Roberton where we turn left onto the uncl road to Craik. After regrouping we travel back to Martin's Bridge, along the back road to the park and stop off at the Pavilion Cafe for refreshments. A short cycle then takes us back to our starting point.
There are rolling hills and narrow single carriageway roads on this route. We cross 2 cattle grids in each direction. There are lots of pot holes and sections of rough roadway. Look out for wildlife and free roaming sheep.

Please ensure your bike is in good working condition and your tyres are pumped up. Always wear a helmet and gloves are advisable in this changeable weather. Wear suitable clothing for the weather on the day. Please ensure you always have spare inner tubes and the necessary tools and pump for your particular bike. Lights are advisable.
If using an e-bike, please ensure your battery is fully charged before leaving the start and if you have any mechanical problems on the ride, you have a back up plan to get yourself home.
