Starting point

East Sussex
BN3 2WN

From Hove Peace Statue to Lancing - in time for Lancing Beach Green parkrun.

Suitable for beginners, this flat, seafront ride follows cycle paths and quiet roads over Shoreham harbour locks and Shoreham bridge to the beach huts on Lancing beach.

When we arrive at Lancing, you have two options:
- Spectate and cheer on the runners over coffee at Perch
- Run or walk the 5km parkrun (completely free, but you need to register - see below)

Please note that during this time, the Breeze ride pauses. Once the last of our Breeze participants has had her barcode scanned and we have had our café stop, the Breeze ride will recommence, and we will ride back to Hove.

What is parkrun?

parkrun organise FREE, weekly, 5km timed run or walk events. They are open to everyone and are safe and easy to take part in. They are open to people of all abilities: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/

Lancing Beach Green parkrun: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/lancingbeachgreen/

Don’t forget your barcode (DFYBC)!

Unless you choose to spectate only, you will need to sign up to parkrun and print off a barcode. You can't do this from your phone; you need to print it out. You only need to register once, and then you can use the same barcode at ANY parkrun in the world!
https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/

********************

Please check your bike before heading out:
- are both tyres fully inflated?
- is the chain clean and lightly oiled?
- do both brakes work?

What to bring?

- Bike lock
- Printed parkrun barcode (if taking part in parkrun)
- Running shoes (if taking part in parkrun)
- Drink, snacks
- Money for the cafe
- Inner tube for your bike (not all inner tubes fit all bikes, and it's easier to change an inner tube than try to fix a puncture by the side of the road!).
