Starting point

HD1 1JB

St Georges Square by Harold Wilson statue ( huddersfield) Can also pick up at Brighouse outside Sainsburys near cash point machines.

Easy to Steady ride suitable for 11+ and all cycling abilities. (if under 18 you must wear a helmet please) Mainly flat & smooth but with some un-even to poss muddy stretches,so mountain bike more suited or hybrid. We will cycle along the Huddersfield to Bradley Greenway before joining the road to Brighouse. Once in Brighouse we will join the canal to cycle along the towpath to Sowerby Bridge. The towpath from Brighouse to Halifax Junction is tarmac so very bike freindly. We then turn towards Sowerby Bridge where the path becomes more un-even & if had rain can get bit messy. On reaching Sowerby Bridge we can stop for drinks and then a very short walk to the start of the Rochdale canal. This towpath can get quite un-even & muddy so be prepared. We will then cycle to the town of Hebden Bridge & have a break to eat & drink before setting off back along the same route. ** feel free to bring a packed lunch if you wish** If you can join me i hope the weather is good and that you enjoy the day.. for further details please feel free to contact me via e-mail at [email protected]
