Huddersfield to Locke park in Barnsley is a 57 mile ride. Starting from St George square at 10.30 and cycling through Mirfied and Dewsberry via route 66, before heading out towards Thorn Hill, which some of you will be aware of thanks to Educating Yorkshire, and then on to Barnsley, home of the barn cake. There will be plenty of stops on the way for drinks. Lunch will be at Locke park for approx 30 minutes , before heading back to Huddersfield the way we came. If you think you would like to give this ride a go, please try and book or turn up on the day. We don’t cycle too fast & nobody gets left behind. myself & the rest of the Chillax & Ride group look forward to welcoming you all This ride is suitable for 11+ if used to riding long periods & must be accompanied by a parent / adult. And all under 18's MUST wear a helmet, no matter how good your cycling abilities are. The journey may be muddy at times but will remain upon road and recognised cycle routes.
