Starting point

Merseyside
L25 0NL

This route is chosen to avoid any muddy paths for Winter cycling and to demonstrate an alternative route to Ryde Cafe in South Liverpool through the South Liverpool Parks. As the River Mersey Promenade is not used, this route is a bit more hilly and includes some useful cut-throughs that participants may not have yet discovered! The route is designed to avoid one-way roads, so could be ridden in either direction.

As this linear route starts from a Merseyrail station and the end destination, Ryde Cafe is not far from Brunswick or Liverpool Central Stations, participants could return to Hunts Cross by train (plenty of free bike spaces are available on Merseyrail trains).

Participants are advised to arrive before the start time of the ride as the ride will leave promptly. In addition, this ride will ride except in very severe weather. Participants are reminded that if people are registered onto the ride, Ride Leaders will be prepared to run the ride whatever the weather and lead these rides as volunteers so if you decide not to attend, please cancel your place at least an hour before the start of the ride.

An alternative route through the South Liverpool parks in Winter between Hunts Cross Station to Ryde Cafe in the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool

A lot of this route is off-road through parks, but connected by quiet roads

The ride ends at Ryde Cafe Liverpool (https://rydeliverpool.co.uk/), a cycle cafe in the Baltic Triangle within the old Brewery site and close to Liverpool City Centre

A road-worthy bicycle (helmets optional) and money for the cafe.
