This Sandiacre Social Saunters ride is open for anyone to join

Organized by groups in the community, these rides are a great way to meet new people, explore your local area and to have fun riding your bike. You can find rides that are suitable for your level of experience and interests whilst enjoying being part of a social cycling community.

I have decided that the route for this ride will take us over to Alvaston Park, head south to the Trent and Mersey canal ( it is a bit bumpy along this bit) heading for Trent Lock and the Erewash Canal back home. We don't use the Trent and Mersey canal very often, but it is a lovely scenic ride, at least Mary and myself think so! I should also mention that it will be around 30miles, but it is all flat!

No set route,see who signs up and plan from there!

Canal towpaths and cycle tracks, some quiet roads to join them up.

Cafe/toilet stop around half way. Lots of time to stop and chat and catch your breath.

As always I would advise wearing a cycle helmet. A drink for between the cafe stops and either bring your own snacks and money for the cafe on route.
