Starting point

Kent
ME10 4EG

From the meeting point we will make our way towards Murston and the Eurolink industrial estate where we will join the cycling path along the bypass to Kemsley. Then accross to Iwade to join the Ferry road and cross the Kings Ferry bridge on to the Isle of Sheppey. We will head towards Minster and drop down to cycle along the promenade from the Leas to Sheppey. Hopefully by the time we get there Park run will have finished. The Island Works coffee shop is situated in a newly renovated church out side of the docks. After our stop we will make our way through Bluetown and on to a cycle path which runs between the road and the car storage area. This path keeps us off the very busy road and brings us out at Queenborough. We will then make our way back to the start point using the same route we used on the way out.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

This route is designed to increase your cycling distance to 30 miles. We will get to cycle accross the Kings Ferry Bridge and see some of the stunning views and history that the Isle of Sheppey has to offer.

The route sticks to quiet roads and cycle paths, it is fairly flat but all riders are encouraged to ride any up bits at their own pace and we will regroup at the top. There may be a head wind on to or off the island, please ride this at your own pace as even a little wind can slow you down quite a bit. Once out of the wind we will regroup.

The only stop planned is at the Island Works coffee shop which is just over half way through the route, but if you need to stop to have a drink on route then we can stop just let me know.

Helmets are compulsorty, if you do not have a helmet then i'm aftain you will not be able to ride. Please check your bike over the day before and pump up your tyres. Bring with you a spare inner tube that is the correct size for your tyres and the tools needed to change the tube if you do get a puncture. I am happy to helpy you with this if it does happen. Other things you may also wish to take are money to pay for items at the shop, snacks, drinks, any medications you may need. Please check the weather and make sure you are dressed appropriately. If it is sunny don't forget sun cream.

We never leave anyone behind
