This Father and son cycle group ride is open for anyone to join

A lovely varied circular ride taking in splendid countryside and some vey picturesque villages a fantastic circular route around eastern and southern parts of Doncaster.

Setting off from the ten pin bowling complex Doncaster lakeside area , we head east direction up rovers way towards Doncaster racecourse head towards cantley park we then have a option to go thru the woods into old cantley village or stick to the bridleway we then head towards finnengley passing thru villages of Branton Auckley and Blaxton staying away from the busy roads as much as we can . At finnenley village we use the bridleway the old bawtry road brings us out in Austerfield we then go over beautiful countryside bridleways to the lovely village of misson . We go over the river idle and follow some lovely bridleways towards the magnificent cafe stop at Everton . After our much needed lunch stop and recuperation, our return journey takes us through Everton up into Everton then a slight decent down into scatsworth along the pavement into bawtry, we then have a option of splitting up the group two routes that join up further on in the ride in bawtry , we cycle thru the beautiful woodland kings wood . We then follow the great north road towards Rossington passing thru mount pleasant hotel woods on to the fields into Rossington heading towards homescarr great woods we head to bessacarr via the potteric Carr nature reserve bridleway over the railway and back to tenpin via the white path shared cycle way .

We will stop for short drinks breaks , main stop is in Everton at the Bean Scene cafe . Photo stops etc

Helmets are advisable for this ride , bring spare inner tubes and pump and tools to repair a possible puncture plenty of fluids for the ride . Card / cash for cafe .
