Starting point

Cumbria
CA28 7LR

We shall set off from Whitehaven (Home of the Jam Eaters) and head South on the cycle path out past the Pheonix Bridge and onwards to Egrement, famous for Apples and the Crab Fair (Well, of course!), from here we shall travel onwards through Thornhill, Beckmet and Braystones, where the route turns back to the North, travelling up through Nethertown to the delightful St. Bees.

Oh, St Bees...

Yes, there is only one killer hill on this ride (the rest are just undulations), but what goes up must come down and we shall end on a high by whizzing back down to the finish in Whitehaven, having climbed out from the Ice Cream stop. Yes, it is a big hill, but they get flatter every time you ride 'em!

This time of year can still be chilly so dress for the weather, layers work best for warmth and consider a waterproof layer too. Please be sure to bring an inter tube which fits your bike. Book yourself on and come along. You know you want to! Coffee stop at St Bees so bring some pennies or plastic. (They sell Hartleys Ice Cream
