Starting point

Wiltshire
SN3 1PT

At just over 11 miles this is a slightly longer route than my previous rides taking us from Coate Water to West Swindon and back.

Starting at Coate Water we will follow the cycle paths up to Old Town where we will join the old railway path down to Mannington. From here we will follow the cycle paths towards West Swindon and Toothill, where we will take quiet roads and cycle paths to Toothill Park. From there we will pick up the cycle path back towards Mannington and then make our way to Wichelstowe. At this point there is the opportunity to stop at the cafe in Waitrose if people want to recharge.

From here we will continue along Pipers Way and through the golf course to Broome Manor Lane and back to Coate Water.

We will ride at a steady pace and no-one will be left behind. If you're new to cycling and want to explore some of Swindon's cycle routes we would love to see you!

Please be aware that although most of the route is on paved cycle paths and quiet roads, some of the route will be muddy and as a result narrow road tyres are not recommended. Please make sure you wear a helmet and suitable clothing as it may be cold, and bring money for a drink/snack.
